Fall Fun Around The Queen City

As we welcome the fall season here in Charlotte, there's no shortage of fun to be had in and around the Queen City. From visiting local farms and indulging in their fall festivities to experiencing spooky, haunted trails, check out the list below for some of our favorite places to enjoy.

 

Hunter Farm

This family-owned farm located in Weddington, NC has it all! From wagon rides to farm animals to your traditional pumpkin patch, there will be no shortage of fun activities for you as you explore. Hunter Farm is open Tuesday through Sunday, and reservations are encouraged. Check out their website for the most up-to-date information for visiting this fall season.

 

Hodges Family Farm

Located just north of Uptown, Hodges Family Farm has been a Charlotte staple for over 100 years! When visiting this working farm, you will experience their popular pumpkin patch, hayrides, barnyard animals, and plenty of delicious treats. Open seven days a week from September 23rd through Halloween, this is one farm you won’t want to miss.

 

Carrigan Farms

This 5th generation farm in Mooresville, NC officially kicks off its fall season on September 30th with the start of pumpkin picking. Popular for its pumpkin patch and hayrides, Carrigan Farms also offers its famous haunted trail. Known as “Scarrigan Farms”, this haunted experience expands across the 275-acre farm and is open select nights throughout October. Cherry Place Farm

During the month of October, Cherry Place Farm opens to the public on Saturdays and Sundays for their annual October festival. Self-guided tours, a two-acre corn maze, and a u-pick pumpkin patch make for the perfect family-friendly fall day. Rural Hill Farm

Rural Hill Farm in Huntersville, NC features the Amazing Maize Maze, one of the largest corn mazes in the Southeast! Open September 16th through October 29th, this maze is open day and night, weekend and weekdays, and does not contain any haunts or jumpscares, making it perfect for outdoor, family-friendly fun. Along with their Amazing Maize Maze, Rural Hill is a fully functional nature preserve and historic site, with over 250 years of history and heritage to experience.
